Resort Attire Requirements
For guests staying at The Cloister, the resort has attire requirements.
The Cloister at Sea Island Resort maintains a "resort casual" dress code, requiring polished, coastal attire. Before 5 p.m., casual, fitness, or dry swim attire is allowed, but no bare feet in public areas. After 5 p.m., men must wear collared shirts (no hats), and women should wear resort casual, with dressier, "cocktail" attire required at specific fine-dining venues.
Dress code requirements:
Daytime (Before 5 p.m.)
Casual, comfortable, and stylish resort wear. Dry swim/fitness attire is acceptable at the pool/beach club, but covering up and wearing shoes is required inside the hotel.
Evening (After 5 p.m.)
Gentlemen: Collared shirts are required; jackets are expected at upscale restaurants like Colt & Alison and for Bingo
Ladies: Resort casual, which often includes dresses, skirts, or tailored pants/blouses. Cocktail attire is recommended for finer dining.
General: Well-kept denim is generally permitted in most areas, but cutoff shorts and swimwear are not allowed in dining rooms or the main hotel lobby.
